DRIED FLOWERS
Flowers for drying have been grown at Castle Farm for over 20 years so the Alexanders have accumulated a wealth of expertise as well as many awards.
The Hop Shop was the first company to exhibit dried flowers in the Great Marquee at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has won 5 consecutive Gold Medals for its excellence of quality and design.
Caroline's experience with the flowers ensures that they are cut at precisely the correct stage of their development to maximise their features whether it's their shape, colour, form or size. Sometimes the precision of cutting is timed to within 24 hours to ensure maximum quality. They are immediately hung in specialist kilns and the careful drying process can take anything from 3 days to 3 weeks. The flowers are then packed and stored in insulated, dehumidified stores to retain their condition.
The flowers, grasses, herbs and seed-pods are sold through the farm shop, by mail order, and are despatched to trade and wholesale customers, florists and interior designers throughout the UK and abroad (with some restrictions on export varieties).
Customised displays can be made to order at the farm shop - bouquets, table centres and arrangements in baskets or vases to suit individual clients' requirements.
We take great pride in matching colour schemes and interior styles.
