TOURS AND TALKS

GENERAL INFORMATION

All group tours and coach visits must be pre-booked. The lavender season is short and very busy, so please contact us well in advance to avoid disappointment. Pre-booked group or school visits can be arranged on request to cover other aspects of the farm’s activities.

There is a small amount of walking from the shop out to the fields and then back through the farmyard to the distillery. This is on level or firm ground and it is not usually a problem taking wheelchairs along the short grass track at the edge of the lavender fields.

Coach drivers should contact us beforehand to check directions and access arrangements. Access for coaches is off the A225 via Castle Road and the entrance on Redmans Lane.
No coaches are permitted at weekends.

Dogs are not permitted on the tours.

LAVENDER TOURS – GROUP BOOKINGS

Group Tours of the lavender fields and distillery can be pre-booked on weekdays in season to view the fields and oil distillery and to learn about lavender, its cultivation and uses. Organisers are recommended to contact us as early as possible in the year to discuss possible dates.

The actual tour lasts about 1 hour but organisers usually allow two hours for a full visit to give members time to visit the shop. At the end of the tour, we offer guests apple juice and lavender biscuits. The cost is £5 per person (minimum £75 per group booking).

LAVENDER TOURS – OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

On some weekdays during the lavender season we are able to arrange open tours for the public. Dates for these are will be published in mid-June. Please check the Events Diary and telephone to book. The cost is £5 per person including apple juice and biscuits.

LAVENDER FESTIVAL TOURS

At our Lavender Festivals in July, tours are available throughout both weekends and should be booked on the day. £4 per person, children under 12 free. (Sorry, we cannot accommodate coach visits on the festival weekends.)

TALKS

Talks to local groups can be given on the subject of Kentish lavender, hops, dried flowers and farm diversification. Please contact Caroline Alexander.
