HONEY AND PUMPKINS

HONEY
The lavender fields, orchards and arable field margins support a large number of hives, managed by a local bee-keeper who supplies us with all the honey. In spring the hives are used to help pollination of the apple trees and of the oilseed rape crop. In summer the lavender fields are humming with the sound of the bees hard at work collecting nectar. Our bee-keeper is always present at our Lavender Festival, doing honey tastings and also comes to the shop for a tasting day in the spring to encourage people to try the local honey to help their hay-fever.
We can supply set and runny honeys, local Honey Royale (with added pollen) and also our exceptional lavender honey - there’s never enough of it!
PUMPKINS
Our home-grown pumpkins come in a range of shapes and sizes from the tasty little ‘rolet’ that can be baked whole, to the versatile butternut squashes, the smooth orange-fleshed ‘Crown Prince’ and the traditional orange Hallowe’en varieties.
Please note: the honey and pumpkins are for shop purchase only.
