LAVENDER FESTIVAL and TOURS

TOURS

The lavenders at Castle Farm start flowering in the middle of June and are all cropped by early August.  Group tours, for clubs and societies, can be booked in season on certain weekday mornings and evenings. Open tours for individuals are available on selected weekday afternoons from late June to late July.  Tours take about 1 hour and look at the varieties in the lavender fields, the kiln-drying of the bunches and the process for harvesting and distilling the essential oils.  Pre-booked group tours cost £5 per person with a minimum of £75 (£6 pp, minimum £90 for evening tours) and include apple juice and biscuits.

LAVENDER FESTIVAL

Our hugely popular annual Lavender Festival is over a weekend in early July, during normal shop hours of 10am-5pm. There are tours, food tastings from our suppliers, bee-keeping demonstrations, WI teas, farm beefburgers, etc. Entrance is free, tours are £4 (free for children 14 and under).

ART DAYS

Painting workshops in the lavender fields can be booked in season.

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE DAYS

Experience an unforgettable massage with lavender oil in amongst the rows of lavender.
