The Hop Shop is a unique farm shop set on William and Caroline Alexander's family farm - Castle Farm - in the beautiful and historic Darenth Valley near Sevenoaks, Kent.  Amazingly, for such an unspoilt location, it is only 20 miles from central London.
It has won many awards including 5 x consecutive RHS Chelsea Gold medals for its dried flowers and hops, the premier Kent Rural Business Award for its enterprise, and was voted 'Best Farm Shop' in the Kent Life Food and Drink Awards. 

The Hop Shop began in 1985 as the first enterprise to commercially market dried hop bines for interior decoration.  Production extended into dried flowers supplied to the trade and through the farm's shop and a national reputation for quality was quickly achieved.  In 1995 an old barn was reconstructed to allow the shop to expanded further into farm foods and select gifts.

The Hop Shop has a policy of selling farm foods that are home-produced, local and traceable - wherever possible, selecting small producers who take a pride in the quality of their foods.    Great care is taken to seek out inspirational gifts, ethical crafts and decorative items for the home and the shop has  a rapidly growing reputation for always having 'something new and different' especially when searching for unusual Christmas presents or treats at any time of  year.

The hop bines, lavender, dried flowers and essential oils can be despatched nationwide and internationally by mail order and to the trade.
