APPLES and PUMPKINS 


NORFOLK ROYAL APPLES

Castle Farm has one of the last orchards of the rare and delicious Norfolk Royal apples. They are a splendid variety that you won't find in any supermarket - crisp, juicy and sweet and a huge favourite with children. The bright red skin has a natural waxy sheen (a sign that they are ripe) and the apples are best eaten as fresh as possible. The orchard includes Cox apples that ripen a little later than the Norfolk Royals and keep well.

APPLE JUICE

The unique Castle Farm apple juice is made from a blend of Norfolk Royals with local Bramleys and is available direct from the farm shop. For a refreshing summer drink, try a glass of chilled apple juice topped with a single drop of lavender essence. 

PUMPKINS

Available from late September to November the range of home-grown varieties includes large orange Hallowe'en pumpkins, the smooth Crown Prince and Butternut squashes and the small green Rolet.
