The Darenth Valley is an exceptional area only 20 miles from central London, yet in the North Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Full of history, wildlife and rolling countryside, the area offers a wealth of interest for everyone.
Shoreham - a pretty village, off the main road with excellent pubs and some delightful walks.
The Darenth Valley Footpath links Shoreham with Castle Farm and The Hop Shop and on to Eynsford and Farningham via Lullingstone.
Lullingstone Country Park - a large area of grass and woodland adjoining a public golf course and served by a Visitor Information Centre with car parking, café and toilets.
Lullingstone Castle and World Garden - Recently created, the World Garden is attracting a lot of publicity and the Queen Anne house and tiny church are open to visitors.
